Retreat in Zante

Tai Chi is something you can do anywhere. In the local park, at a class or in your own home. For anyone who prefers something a bit different, however, there’s another choice. A Tai Chi retreat in beautiful Greece. It’s the perfect option. One that will take your breath away, leaving you so relaxed, you’ll never want to leave.

Welcome to Zante!

At the western edge of Greece, in the Ionian Islands, is the Greek island of Zante. A popular tourist destination with many stunning beaches, sights, and olive groves. Whilst tourism is its main draw, many still escape to the island, to relax and go off the beaten track in the quiet countryside and mountains.

There are incredible health benefits from Zante’s own geological phenomenon. Xigia Beach has become a free health spa. It’s sulphurous waters providing health properties for many ailments. It’s a great place to relax and allow the healing water to work its magic.

For those who like to explore, there are traditional villages and historic sites, including the imposing Mount Skopos. At the top of Skopos is the monastery of the Virgin Skopiotissa, which now sits on the site of an ancient Greek temple. There are also stunning panoramic views across Zante Town, Laganas Bay and inland to the Vrachonias mountains.

Lastly, no one can visit Zante without seeing the internationally famous Navagio beach, and its old shipwreck. There are two ways to access it; by sea or boat. However, you choose to visit Navagio, the beach, cliffs and vibrant turquoise sea are unlike anything else.

Why Zante for Tai Chi?

Zante is a great location for hosting Tai Chi retreats. We are based away from the main hustle and bustle of the island, surrounded by olive groves and close to great beaches.

The island is small enough to drive around in a day to explore off the beaten path. The main town is easy to reach, with museums, churches, and nice places to eat and drink. As with most locations in Greece, incredible sunsets are a highlight, and the vivid turquoise and blue seas sparkle in the distance wherever you are on the island.

This is why Zante is a great location for Tai Chi. The mix of things to see and do, history and ability to get off the beaten track, all go together to make it a great Tai Chi retreat.
